Zakk Wylde wins court battle against his neighbor

Former Ozzy Osbourne axe man Zakk Wylde went to court and won a three-year restraining order against his 20-year-old neighbor, claiming he’s mentally ill and a stalker.

Zakk testified that the man had shown up at his door one day, shirtless, and wanted to talk. Zakk sent him home, but the following morning he discovered what he termed a “sacrifice” left behind by the man including a guitar covered in marker, a box cutter, and other items
The guy also broke into his home studio recently, proclaiming, “I must assert my dominance!” Zakk’s wife fears the neighbor, who she says is obsessed with her husband and calls him “The Master.” Creepy!

Kiss New Comic Book Due in November

KISS and Archie Comics have joined forces to issue Archie Meets Kiss, a new four-part comic. The story will follow Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley and the band as they fight a monster invasion.

“KISS all things to all people,” Gene told the New York Post. “A five or 10-year-old fan doesn't look at the lascivious nature of my tongue the same way someone much older would -- such a thing is not obvious to a five-year-old, and nor should it be.” Part one of the series hits the stands on November 30

New Aerosmith album in the works

Next May was the month that the new Aerosmith album was expected…but singer Steven Tyler recently spilled the beans to Rolling Stone that it’s nearly done (the band entered the studio back in July). “Two months doing that and we're almost there,” said Tyler. “We're gonna spend another month in L.A.” When asked if there was a release date, Tyler responded, “March, hopefully.” The album will be the band’s 14th studio album and the first one of originals since 2001’s Just Push Play.

September 25, 1980: Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham (32) died in his sleep after choking on his own vomit following a day (and night) of heavy drinking. His headstone reads, “Cherished memories of a loving husband and father, John Henry Bonham, Who died Sept. 25th 1980 aged 32 years. He will always be remembered in our hearts, Goodnight my Love, God Bless.” Led Zeppelin disbanded by the end of the year.

September 27, 1986: Metallica bassist Cliff Burton (24) is killed when the band’s tour bus allegedly hits a patch of black ice (singer James Hetfield and others disputed the bus driver’s claims of ice), skids off the road and rolls onto the grass. Burton, who was sleeping at the time of the accident, was thrown through a window and crushed when the bus rolled on him. He played on Metallica’s debut, Kill ‘Em All, as well as Ride The Lightning and Master of Puppets.

Ozzy has special 9/11 WTC Cross

Sharon Osbourne talked about a special gift given to her husband after the attacks on the World Trade Center towers on 9/11/01. Ozzy and his family were staying at a hotel in NYC on 9/11; after the tragedy, the family left to return to Los Angeles, but Ozzy couldn’t shake the horror of what had happened and flew back two weeks later to play a concert for the firemen and first responders. As a thank you, Sharon says, “They made him this cross, which is made of one of the girdles from the South Tower. And when they gave it to him, it was two weeks later, literally, this isn't an exaggeration, it was still warm [from the fires].”

Bon Scott's mother dies

Isa Scott, the mother of the late, great AC/DC frontman Bon Scott, died in Western Australia this week at the age of 94.

Isa was recently interviewed for the VH-1 documentary Behind the Music where she reflected on her Ronnie and the time that Malcolm phoned her to tell her of Bon's death.
Isa the grand old lady loved to hear "Her Ronnie" (Bon's real name was Roland Belford Scott hence Ronnie) up on stage singing.

When AC/DC returned to Australia for their first gig in Australia in 1988, since Bon died they invited Isa to the gig , the nervous engineers and people from the record company tried to warn hear about the noise. To which she is reported to have replied "That's all right I know when the Cannons appear"
